Community Guidelines

Telling a rival their season is over, arguing that a signing was a waste of money, or spending ninety minutes insisting the referee has it in for your club — that is football, and Rondo is built for it. The line is the person. Go after the opinion, the performance, the transfer, the tactic. Do not go after who someone is.

• Harassment — targeting an individual, pile-ons, following someone between threads to keep at them, or repeated unwanted contact after being blocked or asked to stop.
• Hate — slurs or attacks based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, gender, gender identity or sexual orientation. This includes coded and "banter" forms of it.
• Threats and violence — threatening anyone, wishing harm on players, officials or members, or organising hooliganism.
• Sexual content — pornography, sexualised imagery, and anything sexual involving minors, which is reported to the authorities as well as removed.
• Spam and manipulation — bulk posting, link farming, scams, and any attempt to inflate market value, streaks or votes through automation or coordination.
• Impersonation — posing as another member, a club, a player, a journalist or Rondo staff.
• Illegal and infringing content — anything unlawful, plus content you do not have the right to post.
• Private information — posting someone's address, phone number, workplace or other private details.

Every post, comment, direct message, biography and display name is screened on our servers before it is saved. A match against a slur or hate term stops the submission and tells you why — nothing is published and nobody sees it. A match against a borderline term lets the content through but sends it straight to the moderation queue for a human to look at. The filter is not clever enough to catch everything, which is why reporting matters.

Every post, comment, direct message and member profile has a report option in its menu. Choose a reason, add a note if it helps, and send it. Rondo takes a snapshot of the text at that moment, so the report still makes sense even if the author deletes the original afterwards.

Reports are reviewed and acted on within 24 hours. A moderator sees the reported content in context and does one of three things:

• Dismisses it — the content stays, because it did not break these Guidelines. Rivalry is not a reportable offence.
• Removes the content — the post, comment or message is deleted from the platform and disappears for everyone.
• Suspends the author — the account is locked out of posting, commenting and messaging for a set number of days. Severe or repeated breaches end the account permanently.

Repeat infringers are suspended automatically. Three upheld reports against the same account — dismissed reports don't count — result in a suspension even if no single one of those three reports would have on its own. The first two are warnings.

Reporting somebody in bad faith, or reporting in bulk to silence someone you disagree with, is itself a breach.

You can block any member from their profile or from the menu on anything they have posted. Blocking on Rondo is symmetric and total: the two of you disappear from each other. Their posts, comments, replies and votes vanish from your feeds, your posts vanish from theirs, neither of you can reply to or vote on the other, direct messages between you stop, and no notification passes in either direction. Blocking does not tell them they have been blocked. You can see and undo every block you have set from Settings.

Blocking is for people you would rather not read. Reporting is for people who broke the rules. Use both if both apply.
